   Washable and reusable

   Used as prefilters, these new elements pay for themselves by extending the life of conventional filters. A quick wash and rinse restores the filtration elements to their original condition—saving you most of the cost of filter replacement and disposal. When particles build up on the outer surface, just remove the element from the housing, wash it, and return it to the housing—no tools required. Elements are made of hundreds of thin polypropylene (PP) grooved discs; a stop prevents discs from sliding off the core and allows for thorough washing. Downtime is approximately 5 minutes. 
For finer filtration needs, select the 50-μm element. To remove most visible solids from water, use the 100-μm element. For those times when only relatively coarse filtration is required, use the 200-μm element. 
A variety of element sizes and housing styles are available to meet your needs. Choose 5", 10", or 20" element lengths. The 5"and 10" elements come complete and ready to use with their own styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) housing and PP double open end cap. 
   Select the 20" element for larger jobs. A special design securely connects two 10" elements in SAN housings with a PP double open end cap. 
   Use the 10" elements without housings with your existing double open end housing or choose from a variety of 12 1/16" H, double open end housings on page 256. 
  Maximum pressure at 65°F (18°C) is 125 psi. Maximum temperature for the housings is 125°F (52°C); maximum temperature for the elements is 190°F (88°C).
